Whether speaking to a crowd in a large room, or to hundreds through a computer screen, I enjoy facilitating conversations so others can share their stories and ideas. I help panelists share their knowledge on important issues, in a way that the audience can understand why it’s meaningful and important to listen.

In 2021, to kick off the 33rd WorLd Cooperative Congress in Seoul, I facilitated a meaningful conversation with a film maker and a dedicated cooperator. John houston inspired us with his stories, and Sokchiveneath choann showed us how we are part of one global community. watch us.

I was also MC for the 33rd World Cooperative Congress. This 3-day hybrid event was attended by 2,000 people in person and online. The pressure to excel was undeniable, especially after two years of global social isolation. Operating with grace under pressure had never been more important.

In 2017, I took a spot on the big stage at NRECA’s Annual Meeting to share stories of hope and a strong future of a small community in Liberia that I visited. The electric cooperative model stands strong, and thanks to reliable power, businesses and health clinics are here to stay. I still tell stories of how this little utility has become a shining example of what can be done if we cooperate for the common good of the people. watch me.

during my time as THE COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR FOR THE iNTERNATIONAL COOPERATIVE ALLIANCE, i worked across multiple time zones. facilitating WEBINARs AS tHE SUN rose BECAME A NORMAL PART OF THE JOB. And so was BRINGing FILM MAKERS AND UN LABOR LEADERS IN THE SAME ROOM TO TALK ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF COOPERATIVES. WATCH THE CONVERSATION CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL DAY OF COOPERATIVES HERE.

THE PANDEMIC MADE WEBINARS COMMON EVENTS AND I FACILITATED MANY panel discussions THAT WOULD ORDINARILY TAKE PLACE ON STAGE OR IN LARGE ROOMS. AS DISTANCEd AS WE WERE FROM EVERYONE, I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET SO MANY INSPIRING PEOPLE. THIS ONE WAS TO CELEBRATE THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE COOPERATIVE IDENTITY TITLED: “LOOKING BACK FOR A STRONGER FUTURE.” WATCH IT.
